Not too long ago I blogged about the 10 items I was most excited to start wearing this season, including the J.O.A. pastel pink coat I picked up from Crossroads for an amazing deal. And when Pantone announced that one of 2016’s colors of the year is “rose quartz,” I knew that I had made a very fashion-forward buy! So today I’m bringing you three different ways to style a blush coat just in time for the holiday season.
As soon as I tried on this baby pink coat, I immediately envisioned it against a chic, all-black outfit. I love the juxtaposition of the pale pastel and the stark black. For a nighttime look, I paired the coat with this unbelievably comfy Zara turtleneck that I scored Black Friday shopping and an asymmetrical Banana Republic mini skirt. My Brass Plum ankle booties top off the look. I love the simple color scheme and the flash of leg balances out the formal coat and high neckline.
Who says florals don’t work in winter? For a flowery look that still fits into this season’s trends, I stuck with cool tones and minimalist patterns. My Banana Republic mint sweater gives a cozy feel to a wintery white, lace pencil skirt (also Banana!). A strappy pair of Mix No. 6 tropical heels add a pop of vibrant color and remind me that, even though it’s winter, I still live in sunny Southern California. 😉
I’m obsessed with this look! I love this casual and trendy twist on the winter coat. A peachy peplum top (H&M) and rose-print scarf play up the sweetness of the pink coat while the distressed Gap boyfriend jeans keep it from being too much. This time, I rolled up the sleeves to show off the silky lining and for a hint of playfulness. Cutout beige booties complete the look! I would definitely wear this out shopping or running errands.
