I’m usually always wearing at least a little pop of color, whether it’s a fiery red lipstick or the blue snakeskin scarf I always steal from my mom’s closet. For this look, however, I decided to keep it simple and stick to traditional neutrals. I think keeping your entire palette one color can leave as big of an impression as an array of color.
Totally obsessed with this crazy, aquatic mural I found in my neighborhood. It’s the perfect backdrop to contrast with my beige dress and booties.
I love this Forever 21 dress because it’s got a cheap price tag but an expensive look. The creamy beige color is super tasteful, and the shirt dress has an air of professionalism to it without being too stuffy.
To keep it all cohesive, I paired the shirtdress with my beige suede booties from Sole Society. I love the open architecture with its little peepholes, showing off my pedicure and elongating my legs.
I LOVE the split hemline. Its so unique and adds a bit of interest that would usually come from a hint of color or print. I don’t usually wear dresses that hit so close to the knee, but the slightly form-fitting style adds enough sexiness to offset the length.
I resisted the urge to pile some color onto my face and even kept my makeup neutral: just a simple smokey grey eye and my fave nude lippie. A gold statement necklace adds plenty of sparkle to keep the look from being boring.
One accessory just ain’t gonna cut it, so I added on a simple rose gold ring and my leopard print watch. Maybe the leopard print is cheating a bit, but I can’t hold myself back, guys, I’m a print junkie.
Here’s a BTS look at a typical awkward photoshoot. Creds to my friends for dancing around in an effort to make me laugh “candidly.”
I’m totally obsessed with this look so I hope y’all enjoyed it too!
